Our therapists generally accept private pay, and may also be in-network with some insurances. Some clients arrange out-of-network reimbursement with their insurance provider. Our therapists can provide a statement (called a ‘Superbill’) for you to submit to your insurance company. If you wish to pursue this option it is up to you to contact your insurance and inquire about out-of-network coverage.

Each provider may at times opt to take on reduced-fee/pro bono clients. These slots are limited when available and can fill fast. Feel free to ask any of our therapists about this option. If we are unable to offer you a slot, we are happy to provide referral ideas, and suggest some options for low-cost services in the community.
Once you have scheduled an intake/initial session with a therapist, they will instruct you as to what paperwork they would like you to complete. Typically these include background and contact information. Any paperwork you are asked to complete will be maintained confidential and securely stored.

Depending on which therapist you work with, you may receive either in-person or virtual services. Online sessions are conducted using a secure video platform. Check with the therapist you’re interested in meeting with for more details about what they offer.

The frequency of therapy is typically once per week, especially in the beginning stages where research shows the ‘dose effect’ or frequency of contact to be important for good outcomes. You can talk with your therapist if you wish to explore meeting less often (a typical option is every other week).
As is common across therapy services such as ours, we hold to a standard 24-hour policy. Any no-shows or late cancellations are eligible to be charged up to the full fee. As life happens sometimes and we are reasonable, please just make sure to communicate with your provider whenever possible about situations that arise.

As psychologists, we are registered under PSYPACT, an interstate agreement that allows us to provide telehealth services to residents of US states that have enacted legislation (current states).
